Form & Field | Feat. David McKirdy & Charles Parkhill
Opens April 10, 2026
through May 1, 2026

ARTicles Gallery presents FORM & FIELD, and exhibition that brings together the work of David McKirdy and Charles Parkhill in a dialogue between perception and presence, image and object.

McKirdy, a mixed media artist who lived in Tampa but now lives in Las Cruces, NM, has an award-winning body of work that “evokes associations from the atomic to the cosmic.” Using a variety of techniques and materials, he creates complex fields with an underlying order to immerse the viewer in dynamic illusions of movement and harmony, order and flux.

Parkhill, a highly collected wood sculptor from Tampa, has work in a large number of private and public permanent collections. His sculptures assert a quiet physicality, emphasizing balance, proportion, and the expressive potential of material. Each piece reveals subtle variations in surface, grain and contour.

Together, these two artists explore how we encounter form -- whether as something seen or something felt. FORM & FIELD highlights the tension and harmony between the tangible and the perceptual, offering two distinct yet complementary approaches to abstraction.

After the opening, the exhibition will show through May 1.
