MIND OF THINGS | Feat. Rocky Bridges & Norbert Gonsalves
Opens September 12, 2025
through October 31, 2025

ARTicles Gallery presents MIND OF THINGS, an exhibition of works by Rocky Bridges and special guest Norbert Gonsalves.

Bridges, a native of Tarpon Springs, creates collages, paintings and sculptures from salvaged and repurposed materials, oftentimes metal. He honors the history of the materials, reflected in their scratches and scars, dents, and rust, and reinvents them in new arrangements. Some of the history is "the poetic marks that Nature leaves.” Bridges has received numerous fellowships and has earned numerous awards, including Best of Show at Mainsail, Temple Beth-El Arts Festival, Gasparilla, Mayfaire, and SoBe Miami. For over 30 years, he has also inspired students as a visual arts instructor at The Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland, FL. Gonsalves, an award-winning ceramicist, seeks to capture the essence or spirit of the subject by shaping clay into abstract, scaffolding compositions that convey energy and movement and balance negative and positive space. He has won several awards, including the Bay Area Art Show Best Sculpture in 2024 and 2025, and was named one of the “Fresh Squeezed 9” best emerging artists of Florida. He currently serves on the Board of Tampa Regional Artists.

An opening reception will be held from 5-7 pm on September 12.
