ARTIST STATEMENT:
I’m a painter based in Winter Park, Florida. In 2008, I began painting plein-air landscapes in rural and urban environments, and later expanded to still-life and interiors. Recently, I’ve begun to incorporate people in moments of candid activity.
I’m interested in portals and transitional spaces in landscapes and interiors, scenes of quiet stillness, and the mystery of the commonplace. My paintings often convey a sense that something has just happened or is about to happen.
